Default AC and ventalation selector problem

I have a 2002 King Rance and a few weeks ago I started having a problem with air conditioning. The air would only blow out through defroster vents. Now the air only blows warm air and it does not sound like the compressor is even engaging. Also, I cannot get the air to blow out any vents except the defroster. It does not matter what temp setting is, or which vent selector switch you push, it will only blow out defroster. Does anyone have suggestions for how to troubleshoot?
Thanks

Sound like the HVAC Control head is gone bad... Is thecontrol head a vacume controlled contorol head or is it electronic controlled?

How do I determine if it's vaccume or electronic? If it's electronic I assume that I'll have to replace the controller. If it's vaccume, maybe I have cracked hose. Any comments about where to locate the controller would be apprecieated.

Remove the control head from the dash does it have wires only or vacuum hoses? If it is electronic type it could be the controller or a motor on a blend door in the HVAC unit. The controller is easy to change the blend door ... good luck.[/align]
