With a tranny e40d automatic, 192k miles on it could it be possible to ware out the atf in the tranny an cause some minor slipping that would trow code and cause limp in mode set??
I have doubts the tranny was ever completely changed but cant know. thanks

I would suggest you drop the tranny pan and change the filter. replace pan and top off the fluid. Otherwise it may be time to spend some real$$$.
