I have a 2006 F150 King Ranch with the in-dash 6 CD/MP3 radio.

I'm wanting to install an auxiliary input adapter (one with an iPod/iPhone interface + an extra aux audio input).

I want to see if anyone knows the technique to (1) pulling out the radio and (2) running the device cable through the center console and up into the console compartment, where you can plug your iPod/MP3 player in and leave it inside the compartment with no cables sticking out and no visible holes in the dash or the deck face. (want to punch a hole inside the compartment for the cable to come out of, not the dash)

As you all probably know, it's a floor shifter with a true center console that is contiguous with the dash.
