I have a weird thing going on with my backup camera. (Image is in the rear view mirror) It quit working about the time the weather turned cold last fall leaving only a blue image in the mirror. Suddenly this spring it began to work again, however, the image is reversed. Left is right and right is left. Vertical is still ok. I read one potential remedy was to pull and reinsert the fuse. I didn't try that but instead disconnected / reconnected the battery. That didn't work. Any help will be appreciated. Thx!

 

Based on this it's not software glitch so that you need to remove it for cleaning and inspect the wiring and do proper sealing.

This could be a software glitch and reset the module is the right approach. If there is a dedicated module like reverse camera module, look for it and reset it, otherwise look for BCM module and do a reset. Pulling fuse 43 or battery ground for an hour is probably not going to work that's for cars in the 1990s, you need Forscan or Foxwell NT510 Elite to reset the module, the correct way. Before doing a reset pull all the Ford's specific DTCs, usually the one that begins with Uxxxx. Cars in the 2010s every component is networked with a module, even a factory phone charger is connected to a module, so don't even think pulling battery cable can do a reset, even if you want to reset you reset just the camera, you don't want to reset everything.
