the band stomp is doing a show in my truck
Well, i took my truck back to the dealer, they had it for 2 days called me back and said they couldint find anything wrong with it. (for those who dont know, the driver side door isa making a noise that is driving me nuts) I took the truck back, drove it for 5 minutes, and as soon as my trucks cab warmed up, the nois came back in the door. I called the dealer and the seemed to not give a ****. all in all, im going to take the door panel off myself and fix it myself, then if i find the problem, ill take some picturesa and show the dealer ship and tell them im very disatisfied

the noise sounds like metal is slapping metal. Its almost as if there is something loose in the door panel and when i hit small bumps at high speeds it makes a rattle noise that sounds like metal hitting metal. I havent had time to take he panel off but one thing i notice for sure is the sounds is the worst right afer i wash the truck. so im wondering if it has somthing to do with water getting inside the door panel then freezing and that is creating the noise... i dont know...
( i have taken the truck in 2 times now for the noise, im taking it a third time on saturday and this time im alowed to stand behind them and when the door panel comes off im gona inspect it myself and see if i can find the sound ( the mechanics have no clue what the sound is that im talking about ) and i told them i was gona take the panel off myself but they made it clear that if i did that i would not be covered under warrinty for ne further damage to the panel.)
Thanks

Then you need to take the technician or shop foreman for a ride and show him the sound you are talking about. I have been a shop foreman in a Ford dealership for over 20 years, it's part of my job to make sure its FIXEDRIGHT THE FIRST TIME ON TIME. Sometimes that means actually duplicating the problem. I know some techs hate to work on rattles and noises, but it's all part of the job.
