A/C doesn't work now 2012 3.5 Eco Lariat
I used A/C Pro to add to my 2012 system as I felt it was not cold enough.
I followed directions precisely, with the gauge in the middle of the V. The compressor is cycling on short cycles. I put in a17oz can and half of a 12oz to reach the middle of the gauge V as per directions.
When the compressor does cycle to the off position the gauge goes just into red ( normal) from what I was able to research is ok then as it cycles on it goes into middle of gauge green.
Before I added any refrigerant the gauge showed it was low. Now the electric fans come on high a lot as previously they did not
It now does not blow cold air hardly at all. I may have fixed something that wasn't broke. Any suggestions or help would be much appreciated.

that method of charging is not accurate.
If you had manifold gauges and could read pressures, it would help diagnosis.
the low side shows what pressure when the system is static?....provide ambient temp as pressure and temp are relative.
when running what is the low side pressure?
You have added 1.75lbs to what was already in the system. the system capacity is 1.50lbs. the system is probably overcharged and flooding the evaporator.
have the system recovered and recharged by someone with a/c equipment.

I did take it to a guy. Fully evacuated system via vacuum machine. Recharged w 24 oz per spec. He said his a/c work has tripled since those DIY kits hit the market.
Static pressure low side should have been 35psi. It had it up at 120.
I felt the system was not blowing cold enough and the gauge read below its 'supposedly' correct pressure. Lesson learned.
