It seems everyone else has a blue clamp one where you just pull the clip, but this one on my 2004 ford f150 is completely different

It has two holes exposing some blue inners and i tried pushing them both in but it still didnt release it.

anyone have any idea on how to get this off without using some fancy tool?

thanks

You need the tool, plastic or metal, to compress the internal fingers so the line can be removed. Any other attempt will mess up the steel finger retainers and the line will come off when under pressure. The tool is usually available at any auto supply store and is not expensive.

You need one of these critters from you local auto part store. Cost $6-10 depending on where you go.

The metal part isnt the one i was having trouble with. it was the black clip. but i found out how to get it off.

The metal part i was able to to use a pen lid to get off. Thanks for the replies.

Im just pissy that my issue wasn't because of the fuel filter :(
