Thinking of putting some doors on my 85 f150. I have found some doors from a 95, will they work on my 85, by the way the new doors are power, my 85 is not.

 

I think they may be a little different. You might be able to call a salvage yard and see if they have some doors and ask them what years will work on it.

Salvage yards many times will pull the doors off and keep them in one piece if they are good, so you may not have to fool with the glass, tracks, etc. if you get one from them.

I think that the '95 doors may fit your '85 with a little welding and modification of the door hinges. I would seek the services of a reputable, local automotive welding and fabrication shop and present your idea to them. I've heard of F150 owners performing intergenerational door swaps before so it's definitely within the realm of possibilities that you can pull this project off.

As far as acquiring a complete '95 F150 door is concerned, as the other poster has mentioned scour local junk yards and craigslist classified ads for a '95 door. If you happen to find a donor door for your '85 and it's missing a few trim pieces such as weatherstripping then I recommend procuring these parts from a credible Ford parts site. I believe that fordpartsnow.com carries a large selection of cheap OEM parts for all Ford models (including a '95 F150 Part Detail). There may even be some websites that sell new or used '95 F150 doors so conduct a thorough google search.

thank you for the info. i will check the hinges. i have already found the doors a buddy of mine has them in almost new condition just wandering about the fit.
