Default exhaust question

92 f150 302. got a set of bbk headers from a mustang 302. will these bolt right on my truck? also if anybody has any opinions on their choice of mufflers, whether to do dual, eliminating resonator, etc. i dont want it to be too loud, i like to hear the motor ya know

There are two different questions to ask about the headers:

1.) Will they fit on the engine?
2.) Will they fit on the truck?

The answer to #1 is yes. They will bolt onto your engine just fine. The answer to #2 is probably, but you will have to see. You will at the very least have to do the "ol' eye ball look see" to make sure that the collectors don't end up coming straight out into the fire wall, steering column, etc.

And, for me nothing is cooler than glass packs on a truck. Cherry Bombs are a good way to go, and they aren't too loud if you keep your cats in place.

There are extractors you can get the will grip rounded bolts and get them out. Otherwise, if you have a small pipe wrench you can try that. They are designed to dig in and grip round objects.
