exhuast problems?? i hope

Default exhuast problems?? i hope

i ahve a 2000 ford f150, just recently i ahve been driving it aorund, and wehn i hti the accelerator, itseem sot want to stall almost and when the truck idles its fine, and when i juts gun it, the truck is very laggy. I think i have a exhuats leak it seems to tick when i accelerate and now its very loud when i do accelerate. I thnk it could be the catalytic converter are plugged when i looked under my truck it looks like i have 4. cna some one tell me what might be wrong wiht it and if there is a way to fi it thanx

A plugged exhaust system would give you no power on accel, not just a stumble. Your problem sounds like maybe a vacuum leak, dirty IAC, or maybe dirty MAF meter. If it cruises fine at highway speed, I would say not exhaust or fuel pressure. Have you tried some injedtor cleaner in the tank? Just a few suggestions. Lee

Yes i did try that and nuthing happened, then i was gnna cut out my cat and clean it out, andgot under niethe of my tuck and it looks liek theres 4 cats, i ahve talked to 2 mechanics and they said tis oudns liekteh cats are plugged, but im not sure, it ides rough, and the accel is slow, and there is a loud tick when i hit the accelerator, at high way speed its not bad ride my is at a hgih rpm

Easiest way to rule out plugged cats or exhaust is to remove the oxygen sensors and take a short drive to see if it helps.
