F-150 Keypad
Since at least 2014 some Ford cars have come with an "invisible" keypad. Completely flush and don't even show until you touch them. My 2015 F-150 has a "butt-ugly" surface mounted keypad which the carwash removed for me. Cost to replace about $200. You have to tear the door apart and according to my local service manager it takes two people to complete the changeout. Why doesn't Ford put the invisible keypads on the trucks? Does anyone make an aftermarket conversion kit?
When you say keypad are you talking about the B pillar keyless entry panel?
Parts cost sounds about right, I have yet to replace one on a F150.
Looks like you remove the outer window seal, the exterior door handle, the door panel, and then the trim panel with the keypad.

B pillar. I was able to get the keypad secured with glue dots. I am going to leave it like this for a while to see what happens. But the hidden, or flush pillar-mount keypad on some ford cars is really far superior to what comes on the f-150. Just wonder why they use them on a vehicle that costs over $20K less than my F-150 KR. This would be a great aftermarket kit. I would pay $300 for it.
