Does it turn over with the key?
If it does, does your fuel pumps kick on (like make the funny sound)?

Is it safe to assume the engine is not fuel injected and has a carburetor?
Do you have the equipment to do a compression test?

We need to determine if it has lost spark or fuel.
A shot of carb clnr into the intake , if it fires up , fuel problem.
If it doesn't , spark problem.
Once we know that we can proceed from there.
