Default first time ford owner here with a tow ?

Ok, guys I know its probably a sin of some kind, but I have always owned GM products. I have traded my duramax in on a newer (2010) f-150 and now have a question. First off the truck is a 2010 f-150 crew cab 4x4 with the 4.6 and towing package on it. I have a 5th wheel that is 6775 lbs unloaded, is there any way that this truck would pull the camper( I would only camp a few times a year and only be going about 2 hours from home)?

Duramax no problem. F-150 4.6 yes you can pull it. Tow package is? Bigger brakes? Very important. 5th wheel hitch is important. Remember almost any thing will "PULL IT"

Not sure what all constitutes "tow package" on these trucks. I know it has 3:73 gears and a built in brake controller, maybe that's what they mean? As for the hitch, I would probably go with a sidewinder hitch that moves the pivot point back to around the tail gate area, all though im not sure what difference that will make? I am sure it would be on the upper limits of what "should" be towed by this truck, I just don't want to go through the trouble of mounting the hitch in the bed if its not going to be in the ball park of possible lol. on the other hand, I don't want to get rid of my camper without knowing if it will or not. Is any of this making sense?

make sure that you turn off the overdrive while pulling the camper. that's like hauling three times the weight the truck is designed to haul. I find that the 4.6 engines are what I call a little under powered

It will pull it I've pulled around that with my truck . I'd recommend acouple mods atleast a edge evolution programmer. it's really helped my truck up hills and stuff. Here's acouple things I'd do that are kinda cheap lol. Programmer, cold air , air aid throttle body space, accel coils. Ull feel the differnt if u do these things things I did. Good luck brother! Ps all them things are easy bolt ons dnt take a pro

Hey guys i'm going to be buying a 2003 Lincoln Aviator. I live in New England and the all wheel drive will do me some justice during the winter season. The mustang is getting stored away and hopefully the lincoln will be on the street soon if all goes well. I'm hoping one of you fellas has a carfax account and could run the aviators VIN for me. 5LMEU78H83ZJ21901.
