Default ford extended warranty for 2011 f150

I bought a 2011 with 31 k miles and expect to drive 12.000 miles per year.
I am considering the ford extended warranty at the second or third level. who has experience with truck problems and how warranty responded?
what length of time and what deductible?

all ways bought the best warranty. that includes ESP - MAINTENACE - TIRE & RIM. I have used all three and never a problem with my dealer on service. (truck & car)

I posted this before, but I'll throw in my .02 cents worth on extended warranties.

****************************
Purchasing an extended warranty would be your call.

I have never purchased one. The biggest repair bill I ever had was on our 1992 Aerostar for the A/C system that died at 78,000 miles. It cost me around $600 for the repairs (before the internet was booming). Had I purchased an extended warranty, the repair would have cost me about $1200 (cost of the warranty) + what ever the deductible would have been. The cost of the warranty has to come into the cost factor of your 1st warranty repair.

Example being, say you're out of the factory warranty and you need a new alternator ($300 open market and replace it yourself). You purchased an extended warranty and went with the $100 deductible one because it was cheaper (say $1500) and took the vehicle to Ford to have it repaired. Non-Ford warranty will most likely be a pain to get paid. Anyways, it gets repaired. Cost: $1500 + $100 = $1600 for a $300 alternator.

Unless you plan on abusing the vehicle, the factory warranty should be enough. If you don't purchase one, don't worry as Ford will send you mailings to purchase one along with every other company with their "FINAL NOTICE" scare tactic mailings to purchase an extended warranty. Trust me...We get them all the time for our 2010 MKZ.

Come to think of it, I got one from a bone head company for our 2004 Freestar shortly after having the safety recall performed in the beginning of April because it was just under 10 years/175000 miles. We purchased it new 4/26/2004. Wonder where they got their information from?...

Like I would buy an extended warranty at that time for a vehicle with 163,000 miles on it and 9 years, 11 months and 15 days old. But hey, there's people out there that bite on their scare tactics and that's who these companies are fishing for.

answer to warranty, I am in a position where I am physically unable to fix anymore. and the ford warranty is the answer (peace of mind also ) do not buy a 3 party warranty, it will be you biggest mistake. in the long run you will pay more for a cheaper policy, and regret you did it.

ps I have used all 3 warranty's with no deductible and It is such a pleasure. Just my 3 CENTS WORTH
