Ford F-150 Truck?

RE: Ford F-150 Truck?
Hey fellow Ford Lover...one doesn't buy a truck for the gas mileage but for purposes for which a "truck" with a (truck) bed is used for. If you want mileage...buy a small car, with the good (hauling or pulling weight) comes the bad (gas mileage). Ford's are about in the middle of the pack in terms of reliability but are one of the best for the price and as they get older, parts are easier to come by. The F 150 (and 250) must be a decent vehicle as they're hard to come by "used". There's lots of other brands on the used lots but very few Ford trucks...must mean something.

Yes, I own a F-150 Crewcab and I don't regret buying it. Compared to other models it does consume gas, but quite honestly, it handles better than the other models. On the highway you can get anywhere from 15-18mpg, while in city driving you can get from 12-14mpg. I've even went to the extreme of buying an Expedition recently only because my F-150 has been good to me.

My 2004 Supercrew, 5.4L 3V gets 19mpg on the highway and about 14 in town. Pulls my pro-bass rig like nothing's back there. Can haul anything I want, and is one good looking truck. Wouldn't trade it for nothing.
