I have talked to several people lately that took their vehicles to the dealer to see why they dont get the mileage they used to. I guess people didnt pay that much attention to it till gas went up so, but anyway, the problem was under inflated tires or oversized tires. My neighbor said his tires were down to around 28 pounds, and it did make a difference, got it up torated mpg anyway.Have you checked tire presure lately? Whichdrivetrain do you have, andshould your truck get more mileage, depending on drivetrain, or do you want something to increase it beyond that?

Well that might be part of the problem i have 33's on it but there inflated to what the specs say they should be! I have the 5.4L with K&N intake i dont think there is a problem with my truck i was just wanting to get more power and hopefully better gas mileage. My truck has been getting this same milleage since iv had it, i was just seeing if i could help it out a little.

Chips and programmers may help a little bit, but only for about 1-3mpg. Probably closer to 1mpg.

I've found that instead of going 72mph in a 65mph zone, I go about 67mph and can stretch 18gal for about 30-40 more miles. Try slowing done a few mph if you want a1-2mpg change.

Also, have you had the truck reprogrammed to the size tires or something close to it since you had the tires installed? If not, the computor does not know the new ratios it has and the speedometer is incorrect in speed and distance.
