Are you able to look at a few things under the hood in the engine compartment?

bowentinam@yahoo.com 12-11-2023 08:48 AM

no not at this moment

It would help if we knew the year and model of the vehicle.
The only thing we would look for in the engine compartment is after the engine has had a chance to warm up, do the hoses going to the heater get hot?

We would look for different things depending on what those results were.

LOL,Sorry,It is 2016 F150 .when you turm the heater on,therer is no heat to the floor board but there is to the center vents.Tryed to defrost my winshield this morning, and the defrost wouldnt work.

When you choose the function of defrost ,Ford uses a little electric motor to move a blend door to direct incoming air to what function the operator selects.
It sounds like the little motor isn't working or the door is stuck. Most times that little motor needs to be replaced. Not a fun job. but not that difficult either.
Suggest you have a good shop check and verify that is what is not working.. Called, "Blend door actuator".,in this case it is a directional door actuator..

are the motors known to go out.do you happen to know the price what it would cost. Thanks
