Default K&N filter on a 2014 5.0 f-150 MAF issues

So I got a K&N and installing is easy I have used many over the years I got it for my 2014 f-150 xl with 5.0 and got a new MAF sensor as it’s the original truck only has 83k miles but soon as I start it it bogs down shuts off, I unplug the MAF and it runs but of course rough and check engine light is on. I put the factory I take back in runs great. Is there something I am missing? Never have had an issue with a true k&n before they were always worth the money. Advice? Thanx.

If the new MAF is not an OEM unit, put the original MAF back on the vehicle. I would never use a K&N air filter on a vehicle which has a MAF sensor. The oil in the media will contaminate the sensor. If you insist on using it, take a look at the MAF signal with a scan tool capable of displaying live data.
Myself, I would put all the OEM parts back on. There's no gain with the K&N.

Appreciate the feedback. I have had 3 different 5.0 with the MAF and never an issue with a K&N that’s what boggles me. I originally used the OEM MAF and then replaced it with another oem figured it’s a 2014 chance the original MAF could be bad. only 83k on the truck. I did put all oem intake and filter back on when When it wouldn’t run right. And runs fine.
