lights keep coming on

I have a 2001 ford F150 the running lights keep coming on all the time by themselves the ford dealership is going to charge me 500 dollars to fix it any ideas what it might be

A wild guess would be the Lighting Control Module. It may be called some other names, but it is expensive no matter what name you use.
