Default Lug Nuts

I have a 97 F150. The person who owned it before me put the incorrect size wheels on it. I just purchases some super nice Ford chrome wheels. They came off of a 2003 F150. The problem is that the center caps don't want to stay on. Is it possible that ther are different lug nuts for these wheels?

Thanks
Ryan

Default RE: Lug Nuts

They are different size lug nuts. You will may need to find a cap from and earlier year or maybe you can bend the tabs that hold onto the lugnuts and get then to hold. Your truck has 12mm lug studs and later trucks (2001 I think) have 14mm studs.
