I changed the oil. Hope the clicking stops. It is amazing how fast it stopped when I added ATF. Makes me wonder if it's not getting enough oil up top since by pouring in the ATF in obviously put oil up top immediately. Could it be the existing oil had too high a cold rating? Or is my oil pressure low? I do know that some, if not all Ford oil gauges are just PCM controlled "eye candy" and do not reflect a true reading. I guess I'll find out.

I do still have the rough cold start issue though. I ordered a FSM so hopefully I can get all the vacuum related things sorted out.

I drove the truck across town last night and it started out great, but after about 20 minutes the clicking came back. I'm starting to think that maybe I have a weak oil pump. What do you think? Like I said, the gauge is worthless, it just sits on half way up the whole time the truck is running with no variation at all.
