Default o2 sensor

i got dual exhaught on my truck from the original cats back with cherry bombs glass packs out each side of the truck. and know i have the check engine on i thought if you had the cats on these o2 sensors would not bother?
codes are
p0059 heated oxjgen sensor heater resistance bank 2 sensor 1
p2197 lack of heated oxygen sensor -(bank 2 sensor 1) switch, indicates lean
know here is my main question does it say that because of the exhaught or is there a chance that the o2 sensor is bad. I was thinking about getting one cheater for the side that should work not.
your opinion
Thanks Cory

Just changing the mufflers shouldn't cause any problems. It may be a bad sensor?

It is a bad O2 sensor! It is giving 2 codes that are both telling you that it is the 2nd bank, sensor #1! Here is what they are saying in words....

1.P0059-
HO2(heated O2 sensor) resistance Bank #2, sensor #1

2. P2197-
Lack of HO2S-21 Switch, Sensor Indicates Lean
Detailed Description
A heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) indicating lean at the end of a test is trying to correct for an over-rich condition. The test fails when the fuel control system no longer detects switching from lean to rich in a time frame of 10 times per second, or faster in newer models!
