I have a 2004 F-150 Lariat crew cab the tempture goes from normal to max which trips a warning light to reduce engine power. When i shut it down and turn the ignition back on it goes back to normal. I have changed the head heat sensor and it does the same. Any one have any suggestions on what could be causing this to happen.

 

What size engine?how long doesit run before it gets hot?
