Default Question on EGR

So I have a 95' 4.9 standard. I'm at a place now where every week there's something new keeping me off the road, taking my paycheck.

Todays saga points to EGR.

Back story over a month ago the smog pump failed. I bypassed with a shorter belt. Up and running again!
Everyone on line says its great to get rid of, so I did. However thought about what effect that would have on the CAT.

Low and behold last week my CAT went out. "Or did it"
Chugging, Huge hesitation and barley could get it to move.

I cut my pipes right after the 02 sensor and straight piped the truck. Back up and running great. Until my first hour plus drive. Some hesitation came back up hills, check engine came on and barley got home. Checked everything and it all seemed fine. Acts like its not getting fuel but all checked out and was. From then on for the last week its driven normal and fine other than a check engine when I would go up hill usually and way less power.

I figured it had to be to 02 sensor. Got a new one, put it in and it ran great again for a day and a half with no check engine. I thought I got it....

Then today it started back with the hesitation, hard this time, like when "the CAT went out". Ultimately to a stall and did not want to move. I made it however, chug along to barley get me home to further diagnose.

Seems like the only thing left to cause this is the EGR. The codes it throws are O2 sensor fault/ Lean. So something before the Brand new O2 sensor is stuck/clogged and not putting enough fuel in the mix.?

The EGR looks clean when I unbolt, the valve solenoid however looks like it could be toast.

I didnt have my voltage meter with me today and both of Auto zones rental vacuum tools were broken... so.

Heres my main question. To keep the EGR system and just get the 3 new components to it, or delete it.

My questions are sense its the last of the emissions components now on my truck, will it work and all will be good, or will it just continue to mess up because nothing else is there.

Question 2 is about the delete. It tells the computer that its closed always, so what would be different from now. My truck is not running because I think its stuck closed. So wouldnt it be the same as now?

Thanks in advance.
