Default rear spring shackle

my '97 flareside rear shackle is really rotted & I was told this was a common problem. My '88 bronco II looks like it's still new. They both have similar mtg. brackets except different orientations-the springs attach to the bottom shackle on the bronco II & the top of the 150.Could this bracket or one similar be used on the F-150 or could its bracket be flipped?

I'm not sure if those are the same or not, but it sounds like you're looking for a cheap fix. If that's the case, call your local junk yard and buy one from them.

I agree - it would be safer to check the salvage yard to start. If they are identical (height, width, metal thickness, orientation of holes and angles) I'd say there is a fair possibility it might work if it's absolutely necessary.

Only a hollander interchange manual knows for sure - call a salvage yard for themanual nearest you.
