Reinbursement for item that was Recalled
Hello all, I have a 2011 F150 Platinum that up to this point has been fairly problem free at 113k miles. Recently started having the issue with the sudden downshift to 1st with the transmission etc. that they just recalled. Oddly enough I called FORD and asked about the recall that they already had out for 2011 F150's two weeks ago with my same transmission and their response was that my VIN#/truck wasn't effected even though i was experiencing the same issues. Ford said to keep my receipt and if my truck is ever recalled I would be reimbursed. I just picked it up from the dealer last weekend after spending $1200. fixing the issue. Yesterday they released a recall for the same problem dating back to 2011 F150's for some 1.48 million F150's etc.
Has anyone had to be reimbursed this amount for problems you had fixed prior to a Recall and did the dealership reimburse you or FORD directly. Thank you for your help.
