2020 15K miles, dealer is asking $108k. Is this a good price right now?

Sounds about right. They go for $100K to $130K new
Be very aware that since its a Shelby it no longer has a Ford engine tune, as such diagnosing engine issues is much harder as the dealer cannot do much with the OBD2 Ford computer program, Shelby also usually changes the spark plugs and fuel injectors from stock, and they are very very bad about responding to warranty issues. Also there will be a delay for any warranty issue engine related.
For example about 1 year ago my dealer had a F150 Shelby supercharged where the engine and supercharger were both grenaded, it took about a month for Ford who warranties the engine and Shelby who warranties the supercharger to agree on who was paying for what on the warranty claim, as such the customer was without their F150 for that time, if a stock engine grenaded it would have been approved and fixed drastically faster.

Appreciate the heads up and detailed context. Do you think the case you described was a one-off or is the engine/super charger prone to damages?

The supercharger and engine grenaded doesn't happen often, we never actually determined which failed first.
Any engine warranty issues will be a drawn out issue trying to figure out the warranty and who is paying and when Shelby sends out warranty parts.
There is also the issue of Shelby changing trim panels to be "special", for example there is a F150 front parking camera recall, its super easy on a stock unit, customer came in with a Shelby F150 for the recall, after removing the special grill I found that we could not touch the camera because Shelby screwed the camera into the grill using wood screws then glued the grill together so it could not be taken apart without damaging the grill, I put the car back together and I have no idea how the customer will ever get the recall completed.

Wood screws?! Ok, last question and I know it’s an “up to you” type answer, but do you think the Shelby is worth the price tag?

Yeah Shelby used wood screws to hold the front camera in place, to secure the active grill shutter to the grill, and to secure the grill to the vehicle. It was not a fun wasted 3 hours. Luckily for my dealer the customer bought it from a different dealer so we were in no way possible at fault.

I think the finished product looks very good and are very fun to drive. Personally I would not buy a supercharged engine, if you want a supercharged engine you could buy a stock unit and pay to have the supercharger installed, if memory serves its around $15000, granted once again unlikely but possible to have engine warranty issues.

I appreciate the help here Scott and you taking the time to do so. It should be at the dealership in a week, so I’ll go check it out and see if it’s something I can’t pass up. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

To be honest, the biggest and most common cause of the Shelby trucks having engine issues or worse case scenario the engine being blown completely is because when people purchase one and have never owned a shelby or any kind of supercharged/turbo'd vehicle, they dont realize that you can no longer use the factory or OEM option of spark plugs when the time comes to do a tune up so they go to the part store and tell them the year make and model and the system doesnt have an option for Shelby under the f150 and since it was built on the Lariat platform they use that and it says to use AC Delco plugs so they buy them and put them in and 50 miles later or less and it is too late now to fix mistake on the plugs and its probably throwing a code for a misfire and you have fried your pistons since the OEM plugs detonate at a much hotter/higher temp than the plugs you are supposed to use after it was changed into a Shelby. there is even a little plate in the engine bay on the front support right above the passenger side headlight that states " DO NOT USE AC Delco plugs, ONLY use NGK LTR7IX also known as NGK Iridium plugs. So as long as you know how to properly maintain the supercharged motor or do the proper research prior, the chances of you having anything happen to your engine or blowing you engine is highly unlikely honestly. I have a 2018 F150 Shelby with 25k miles on the chassis and 6800 on a new motor because of that exact scenario i just mentioned that was done by the previous owner that i got the truck from. however i got EXTREMELY lucky and contacted Tuscany directly who actually agreed to cover the entire cost of the new motor and labor since when i bought my truck last year from the previous owner it only had 3,800 miles total yet 2.5 weeks after owning it it began throwing a misfire code and when i pulled the plugs i found out that either the previous owner or someone they took it to for a tune up put in AC Delco plugs instead of NGK like is required, and ever since i got it back with the new motor and proper plugs i have had no issues at all.
