What year is the truck? Is it a 5.4L engine? If so these have a issue with removing the spark plugs. You must use a special socket to remove the plugs and you must remove them with the engine cold. These plugs snap off at cthe top of the farrel where the porcilin meets the metal. When these brake the electrods drops into the cylinder. You then must use a special extractor and tap to get the plug out. You can get this tool from any professional tool supplier. I like the matco extractor. Let me know what you find.
