Default Transmission Question

I have a 98 F-150, 4.6l, with an automatic. Is it possible to switch it over to a manuel? If so has anyone done it, and what would it take??

Its possible, but I wouldnt attempt it.

It might not be to bad if you could pull everything, and I mean EVERYTHING (hydralics, etc) from a manual truck.

Alright, we'll try a more open question. I have done a few car swaps, where it was a little easier, but my main question....do I need to swap out the computer and all wiring as well? I understand I need to get all hydrulics, pedal assembly, and a few other ods and ends, but what about electrical?

I know on the older trucks it was ok to run an Automatic Computer with a Manual, you'll jsut get a check engine light on. I assume its the same for the new ones.

You just can run an auto with a manual computer.
