Default What do the 4x4 Selector **** Positions Mean?

I'm currently looking to buy a 2009 - 2014 gen but need to know what the different 4x4 selector **** symbols mean. Many have 2H, 4H, 4L & some are 2H, 2A, 4L, 4H, these are easy to figure out as the 2A is auto while the others are self-explanatory.

I have seen some with the above symbols plus they have a 4x4 symbol that says PULL along with another 4x4 symbol as shown in the pic below. My end goal is to be able to flat tow my F-150 behind my diesel pusher motorhome. I currently own a 2007 Sport Trac but the miles are over 200k and the frame is thin & I've already welded the frame once.

Can anybody please explain what these different 4x4 dash **** lettering mean? To me, it looks like a neutral setting in the transfer case. I'm old school, I like lockout hubs and manually shifted lever on the floor!

I'm looking at V8's but might consider a 6cyl turbo although I know nothing about these twin turbo 6 cylinders. I'm hoping to find the lowest possible mileage but I have a very limited cash flow so I can only spend so much and get what I can. The pic below is from a 2013 F-150 King Ranch 5.4 V8.
Thanks, Ken - BigBlockWagon
