Default '01 F250 V10 transmission problem

My '01 V10 F250 has 59,000 miles on it and the automatic transmission is acting up.

Hauling a bike to bike week in FL earlier this month the transmission seemed to slip twice coming off a dead stop. Happened within a half hour of each other in wet cold West VA. Only happened twice and hasn't slipped since so I thought perhaps the wheels just slipped on the wet pavement. I went to FL & back w/ no problems.

Today, after a 40 mile trip in sunny PA, the transmission began to shift sharply coming out of first and second gear. No slippage, just prounounced hits when it shifted.

I seem to recall something about a diode problem in '01. Didn't think I could have a big problem with such low miles.

Could this be a diode problem or does it sound more serious?

Thanks

Could be as simple as time for a new transmission filter or in the worst scenario could be part of an electronic circuit board gone awry.
