01'F-250 no start white smoke?!
My wife took the truck to work this am and when she got back in it this afternoon it would turn over with a lot of white exhaust but failure to run. I thought she was jus' being a girl so I checked myself and no success. Lots of white exhaust & plenty of turn over but no ignition. Looks like some white smoke also coming out from underhood??Last summer I had 4' exhaust installed with edge altitude tuner. This has only been an issue since the weather has been so cold 25 - 30 degrees for about 30 days. I havereplaced fuel filter and ran an injector cleaner through theengine 2 weeks ago. This shouldnt be a geling problem, and I did add a power service anti gel to help. Any suggestions or similarities???
You say... that this has 'only' been an issue in the cold temps and over a30 day stretch, meaning this has been an intermittent with low temps? Will the engine fire if the block heaters been plugged in? Glow relay failures can causea hard start condition in cold temps.. Look at the relays large lugs for blu/burning..UVC harness/connectors can be an issues as well.. Glow control would be the first thing to verifyon a 7.3 for cold start problems..Especially if a cold start intermittent...
