Default 02 f350 4x4 auto hub conversion

Hello, I have an 02 f350 diesel with vaccum operated front hubs. I'd like to elimate the vaccum operation and use manual hubs. My thinking is that this would better ensure proper lock-in/lock-out, and would elimate having to install the big vaccum seal every time it's taken apart. Anyone know if this is a good idea, and if there is a kit available. Thanks, Dave

yes the vaccum operated auto hubs are a pain if not working properly(that is why the auto hubs have a manual feature on them)you can switch out the autos with the ford manual locking hubs very fast and easy-you will lose the shift on the fly feature though,to save some money though you can just use the auto hubs that are on the truck and get out and move them to the locked position, then back to auto when not useing 4x4,mark.
