Default 05 f250 needing help

I acquired a 05 f250 on a trade. It will start up drive no problem until it gets to running temp then some times it’ll shut off. Will not start back until it cools off. Any suggestions on what it could be? Changed the ficm and ipr in the hpop

You are fortunate. You have time to check for loss of spark and fuel pressure after the engine stalls.

Talking FICM, I assume it is a 6.0L.

You need a good scan tool. Cheap scan tools and tuners are not sufficient. ForScan or ForScan Lite is recommended because it is very good and it is inexpensive to set up and use. Torque Pro isn't bad either. These are software downloads to a phone or a laptop or a tablet (depending on which software you download). You will also need the appropriate OBDII adapter. It is all VERY SIMPLE to set up and use. At most it will cost $60.

Sounds like you have an issue in the high pressure oil system, probably a leak, but that is easy enough to confirm with a scan tool. Then an air test will identify exactly where the leak is.

Only thing I haven’t changed is the stc fitting in the hpop. Will it cause it to just shut down? It doesn’t hesitate at all just cuts off

Yes, the STC fitting can do that when it is leaking.
