06 upfitter switch question

Default 06 upfitter switch question
Hi i recently just had an upfitter switch installed in 06 f350 6.0 . And i noticed that switch 1 is wired in series with switch2. Is that how it is suppose to be wire by factory or is their a way i can have both switch 1 and have their own power supply
