I don't feel a 10 speed is necessary in a small truck. 18 wheeler yea ! Is just more to fail ! All the constant shifting to overdrives. 6 speed is fine, yea a granny is great for rock crawling. Maybe pulling a 40' foot stock trailer ? Think the 10 speed is to one up an 8 speed and possibly slightly better fuel MPG, not much though. U are driving a tank !

Mine works just fine, about the same as my 2018 F150. 1st to 3rd to 5th then usually 6,7,8,9 and 10 when unloaded. When pulling heavy loads you usually can't even tell you are pulling the load. Every shift is smooth. Downshifts are flawless. Very happy so far. I have about 9k on truck

Thas my thought also, tow-haul with more gear, other wise mostly a worthless Garage Queen extra for Bragging rights. If U don't haul a trailer pulling a couple mowers, a Backhoe or a Polaris Ranger is a waist of gearing and mostly costs more to fix when it fails and it will cause its electric ! There has never been a permanent 12/14Volt system thing. All of it will fail and you can count on it sooner than later !
