1965 F250 ID help needed
Hello all,
I recently got a hold of a 1965 F250 in really great shape. The title says it's a '65 but someone told me the VIN makes it a '66. How can I tell what year by the VIN. Also how can I tell if the motor is a 300 or a smaller 6. Thanks

The first digit of the vin is the year, a 65 would have a number 5, a 64 a 4, and so on.
The 5th digit is the engine code, but im afraid that Ford didnt specify which 6 cyl engine was dictated by what code. Being an F250, I couldnt see it coming with anything smaller than a 300.
