Lightbulb 1975 F250 not starting?

Ever since I swapped the 2bbl for a 4bbl and put an aluminum intake on my 390, all it does is make popping noises at me and not want to start.

I thought it may have been the fact that i didn't get the pushrods back in the correct holes, but I bought new ones and put em in and it made no difference.

Can anyone offer the voice of experience or theories I might try?

Thanks
