1996 no start
 

I have a 1996 powerstroke hat cranks but will not start - i have checked several things that i have read about on different forums such as all fuses and maxi fuses , all good - fuel bowl heater - glow plug harness and relay - and replaced the cam sensor - any input on further diagnosis would be a great help

hi, does the oil pressure gauge come up within approx. 10-15 seconds of cranking if not then it could be a faulty IPR valve or a internal(injector orings or injector) high pressure oil leak-does the engine smoke out of the exhaustwhile cranking- if so then you are getting high pressure oil and fuel to the engine-it should start(if everything you checked is good)-if not then you will need a scan tool to check the IPR oil pressurereading from the ICP sensor-this will take a proffesional to check,mark.
