Default 2000 Ford f250

I have a 2000 ford f250 SD 6.5 extended cab. I bought a new 2007 ford f250 bed for my truck. I hooked up the tailights/rear blinkers. When I turn the left blinker on the right rear blinker goes on the brake lights are not on but, the running lights stay on. I would assume that the wires into the plug is different. Does Ford make a new plug that would adapt to my 2000 ford truck, or do I need to cut the wires and resplice them??
