Default 2001 f350 keyless entry module

Does anyone know for sure where this module is located? I have searched the web, and most of the answers are guesses, or for a similar but different model. I don't have a lot of time as my friend is visiting from out of town in a few days, and I told him I'd try and find his door lock problem. When he went through the 8 on/off cycles with the key, the locks all try to operate, but don't succeed. They all stopped working the same day, so its not the individual actuators. I think it is a burned up connector pin or a bad module that only allows a low amperage current pass.

2001 was still using GEM, no Keyless module..

Gem is behind the drivers/ left lower dash trim panel...

Thanks for the information, I was at Ford Friday, and the parts guy did call it a Generic Electronic Module, but the drawing on his computer was so poorly done that it was impossible to tell where it was located. I have a 1998 E250 and it does have the RKE module, as that is what my Ford Shop Manual calls it. It is located behind the driver's seat about 18" up on the wall. Unlike the GEM, it only controls the locks and courtesy lights

I was just explaining that my 1998 van has an RKE, that is why I was mistakenly calling it an RKE on his 2001 F350. Also, I couldn't use the location of the one in the van to determine where I would find the one in his truck. So your answer has solved my question as to it's location. Thanks.
