2002 F-250 am/fm 6 disc changer quit
the cd player in my radio now says "cd error" and has kept my 6 cd's.. and the radio repair shop said it not repairable? I'm sure I can open it and get my cd's, but.. had any one else had this problem, if so, where do you send this thing to get it refurbed?

call your local ford dealer and ask them where they take their warranty units for repair. Here in the Denver market, we switched repair houses a few years back, and I used to send all my older stuff like this to them, as this was a common problem.
If I might suggest, you might be able to get a much cheaper aftermarker disc changer that will plug right in. If I'm not mistaken, I think either Audiovox or Kenwood makes one that should.
Personally, I've put all my old music on a flash drive or IPhone, and the new stereo I have will just hook right up to the phone.
This is the part of new technology I like.

I agree with the above post. Call the local dealer and they should be able to help. I however have one that is being taken out of my 06 Dually and I will make you a sweetheart of a deal on it, if you are interested. i am having one put in that will also work with my iPhone and has the camera hookups for the rear bumper and 3rd brake light to view the gooseneck hitch and bed of the truck. shoot me a text to 615 686 7434 or email to gofastpadre@gmail.com
