I parked my truck in garage overnite. Left it in 4 wheel drive. Next day did not disengage with dash switch. Stuck in 4 wheel Low. I removed the actuator from transfer case. Dash 4 wheel indicator gone. but transmission still thinks its in 4 wheel drive mode. hard shift and speed reduced to 30 mph max. Removed battery power for a few and still same. 4 wheel low mode. How do we get the transmission out of this? Does actuator need to be on to disengage the 4 x 4 mode?

 

My girlfriend has one of those. She has to put the truck in neutral to disengage the 4wd. Also, we removed those automatic locking hubs and replaced them with the manual twist type hubs. Rocking back and forth may help, but I am sure you've tried that.
