2004 f-250 dies while driving down the road

I just bought a 2004 f-250 6.0L with 234000 miles. While I’m driving down the road it’ll die, I’ll turn the key off and it’ll start right back up. I was told it was a sensor but don’t know which one.

Common sensor and wiring issues

ICP sensor and connector
EBP sensor and connector
FICM and FICM harness
IPR harness chafed

Check for codes with a quality code reader. Should give you a clue as to where to look.

I drove it again today and figured out that if I pump the throttle while it’s trying to die it’ll keep it going for a couple seconds longer. It’s acting like it’s not getting any fuel. Which is making me think ficm more and more. But the guy I bought it from had the injectors replaced on one side and not the other so idk if that could be the problem or not.

High pressure oil

I took it to the shop. It’s loosing high pressure oil. He said in the 16 yrs that he’s been doing this he’s never seen a truck do what this one is doing.

lol - engine dying and then starting right back up isn't a mechanical issue w/ the HPO. As stated, it is almost always electrical, and again, the ICP and its wiring is the most common issue

good luck with it.
