2006 F250 AC and ETC issues
AC issue and ETC light
Just purchased a 2006 F250 and the first night it ran fine. The second day I had it, the "wrench" ETC light popped on, although I did not notice any performance issues after it came on. After shutting my truck off and restarting, it didn't light up again until later in the afternoon. Since having the truck for 3 days now, I've only seen it come on 3 times. I've done some research on this issue but any help to better diagnose the culprit would be greatly appreciated.
Also, the second day I had it, I noticed that the AC will blow cold but as the day progress and the temperature outside rises (and I live in Texas so it is almost unbearable about this time of year), the AC starts blowing room temp to warm air. If I shut the AC system off for 5-10 minutes and turn it back on, it blows cold for a while but then warms up again. I've also done research on this issue and read that it's a possible freon issue or possibly the clutch/compressor. I've added freon to it last night, thinking it was the cheapest option for now, but it started acting up again today. I've also been told that it may be a pressure switch. Can anyone help me with this issue as well? Thank you!

Get it scanned for codes - I don't recall getting a wrench light for A/C problems.
Does your heater valve have the vacuum line still hooked up to it (on the coolant line to the climate control heater)? By applying a vacuum, you prevent the hot coolant from circulating when not desired.
Lastly, I would also be interested in your coolant and oil temps after things got fully up to operating temperature - just to rule out things being too hot.

Lastly, I would also be interested in your coolant and oil temps after things got fully up to operating temperature - just to rule out things being two hot.
