Default 2017 F250 Actuating Rod Plate Recall 17C06

Hi,
I was fueling up my 2017 F250 truck yesterday and it started rolling away. Luckily I was able to jump in and hit the brake before the truck hit the store. The truck was in park. I'm not assuming this 17C06 recall is the issue, but it sure sounds like it might be. My Ford dealer says my truck isn't covered even if it is the issue.

The truck has 52k miles. If I verify this recall is the issue, would I have any recourse to have Ford address it or is it too late?

Has anyone done this repair who can answer a question or two should I decide to tackle the job?

Thank You

Should be specific to Build Date /VIN to the 6.2 for damaged plates.
If you decide to replace, send a request and we can provide the task/illustration info.
