Hi all…first post, maybe I finally found the place to find an answer. I bought a 2021 F-350 XL long bed and had the pickup bed removed and a Deerskin Chassis mount dog box installed. Figuring out lights was a nightmare but all works now. Current problem is the backup camera. With only the camera cable from the pickup tailgate the camera is mounted just over the new rear bumper and rear bumper is about all I see. I’d like to reposition the camera at the top of the chassis mount but I would need to either extend the cable or replace the camera and cable. Tried Rostra but they said my connectors don’t match up with anything they’ve seen on an F-350. Question is can I just splice a length of wire into the truck harness? If not does someone make an extension cable or can I at least buy the connectors and make my own?
