2023 AC issues.
I have an almost new (26,000km) 2023 F250 Super Duty and I've been having a bunch of issues this winter. Feels like a lemon. But specifically this is a question for anyone else that might have one or has worked on them.
Right as winter was settling in, my AC stopped working. Not a huge deal, as I live in Ontario and it's cold, but at the age of the vehicle I shouldn't be having any issues IMO. Brought it in and after a couple of days I was informed that the head mechanic that the AC module in the 2023's doesn't run when the temps are below 0c. He replaced the whole AC module anyway under warranty and told me to test it out come spring. Well, spring has sprung and I have no AC still, even on some of the days that temps have hit 20c. He wants me to bring it back in when we have consistent temps of around 10c so they can properly diagnose it.
I guess I'm mostly just wondering if this is truly a thing across all F250's of this year (or newer I suppose) or if something else could be up. I don't know anyone else with a new truck to ask. I also could swear my air recirculation worked all throughout my first winter with it, and this past winter it would only intermittently stay on. We bought a 2024 Outback at the same time as my truck and I have zero issues with AC and recirculation all winter.
Thanks in advance for any experiences you all have with this.

On a lot of vehicles, the AC compressor runs to help remove humidity from the windshield when defrost function is selected.
That is easy to check and only requires looking at the compressor when defrost is selected, even in the winter..
