2024 F250 to 2014 center seat/console swap
This might sound crazy, but I recently purchased a 2024 F250 STX. It has the center seat that folds down. I don't particularly care for it, it just seems bulky with little practical use and the I don't care for the placement of the cupholders. (look at Me complaining about my new rig already) but I do like the floor space in front of the seat. I like the center consoles from the earlier models (2011-2014) that fit between the bucket seats, functioned as an arm rest, had a fair amount of storage and still left the floor open on center hump. My Question for you is, would it be possible? has anyone done it? swap out the seat for the center console out of a 2011-2014 F150/250 without, A) a lot of modifications, or B) it looking stupid, like gaps in the carpet or something of that nature. There are a few of those consoles on ebay for sale they run about $250-$350 depending on seller and condition. There aren't any salvage yards within 180 miles that would have one that I could look at before I bought it. So, has anyone done it, thought about it, have any thoughts on the subject? I'm looking for some input on this, even if you think I've lost my mind or just plain dumb, Wha'd'y'all think?
