Default 5.9l cummins in a 00-04 2/350

Hello, I am looking at purchasing a wrecked 00-04 2/350. I was wondering how much work would be involved with swapping in a 5.9l 24 valve in? This would be a ground up build. I am planning on putting a 8 inch lift on the truck and using it as a dd and pulling a trailer. Now I know the lift will not help with pulling a trailer. I am mainly looking at swapping in a cummins for the dependability of them. More than like the transmission will be the 47re. Thank you for all the input yall can provide.
